Tech extends coaches contract to 2016

Coach Paul Johnson and the Yellow Jackets agreed to a contract extension to today. The contract looks to keep the highly successful coach at Georgia Tech until 2016. There has been no report on an increase in salary, but it should be assumed that Paul was rewarded for his immediate success on the flats. He is 19-5 in his first two seasons and is looking to beat UGA again in his second season and take tech to a BCS bowl game if they can take care of business in Tampa at the ACC championship game.

This comes on the heels of bad news out of Athens as UGA VII has passed away after a tenure shorter than two seasons.
